Summary report 2007-2008

Every two years the regional administration ‘Environment Brussels’ (legal name IBGE-BIM) assesses the current environmental situation of the Brussels-Capital Region (BCR). It publishes this track record of the state of the environment in French and in Dutch on its internet site either as detailed report or as summary report.

The present 2009 edition centres on 32 key topics which illustrate important environmental challenges. It covers the main urban environmental themes, including health impacts and links between society and environment. These subjects are presented in summary form, relying mainly on indicators or quantitative data and recent assessments and studies (referenced at the end of the publication).
