A Bruxelles, découvrez:

Albatross village

The building is part of a complex including a rest home, hotel, restaurant and café services, a child care centre, shops and a fitness centre. The site is divided into three areas, one of which is residential. The buildings can benefit to the maximum from the sun.
They are 35 metres apart, so that the space and biodiversity can be developed between them, like a semi-public nature park. The heating needs of the residential block are reduced to 39 kWh/m².yr (Brussels average: 150). Through suitable treatment, the waste water from showers and bathtubs can be reused for toilet flushes, washing machines and maintenance. This system is profitable from the first year of use.
The complex is equipped with thermal solar collectors and an extensive green roof. A system of sun protection blinds has been considered to prevent excessive sun in the summer.
