Bruyn ouest
The project provides for construction of 79 passive housing units, a multifunctional room, 75 parking places, and redevelopment of the green area at the back of the site. To make the complex as a whole attractive, the façade materials are rather diverse: brick (various colours), painted brick, whitewash, and concrete.
The insulation of the buildings and the solutions used with regard to heating allow a high-performance consumption of10 kWh/m2.yr. Lateral ventilation and a free cooling system, 125 m2 of thermal panels and 110 m2 of photovoltaic panels have been installed. Rainwater leaving the 75 m3 cistern is returned to the soil by open swales running along the roads and supplying a drainage/infiltration-type storm water tank.
A 2500 m2 extensive roof and public/semi-private green areas (vegetable gardens) complete this project.
