A Bruxelles, découvrez:

The Forest of Soignes and the south of Uccle

This 8.15 km-long section runs mainly through the Forest of Soignes, the Kinsendael nature reserve and Tournay-Solvay Park (Chemin des Silex). The promenade crosses an area belonging to the Natura 2000 European ecological network, which has the general objective of preserving biodiversity.

Main attractions Chemin des Deux Montagnes, on a ridge overlooking the Vuylbeek and Karregatbeek valleys: a “beech cathedral”, a coppice with standards, glades, young plantings, a Neolithic site, chance of spotting a roe deer. The Kinsendael and Kriekenput nature reserves: two springs, deciduous trees, remnants of marsh, vacant land, birds, bats, foxes, and amphibians. Verrewinkel wood, with a hilly contour: large beeches, undergrowth and plants such as anemones and bluebells.

Kauwberg site nearby: remarkable biological and landscape diversity. Engeland Plateau: lone oaks. Small wood of Buysdelle and La Sauvagère Park nearby. Small houses of the garden city of Homborch.
