Jette funeral home

For some time, the municipality of Jette, the client for the project, has committed itself to carrying out low-energy property renovations. The Funeral Home fulfils this obligation, implementing the techniques necessary for good energy performance of the building: a highly insulated wooden structure, double flow mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, a ground-coupled heat exchanger, thermal solar panels, and rainwater recovery.
The project goes even further by recovering the calories produced by the cooling unit of the morgue, constantly in operation. In the winter, these recovered calories allow fuel consumption of the building to be reduced.
The heat consumption, rather exceptional for a building of this type, is 35kWh/m2.yr.
