“La cerisaie” rest and nursing home
This rest and nursing home is part of the Paul Brien hospital site, where various participants have gathered with the aim of pooling their ambitions in sustainability.
These common ambitions are translated into a collective and 100% renewable power plant to which various buildings are connected. Each building aims to reduce its energy needs as much as possible. La Cerisaie achieves this objective thanks to an integrated design and a harmonious combination of active and passive designs with regard to construction and technical facilities: intelligent orientation of the facilities, angles of shading of the structure combined with dynamic exterior sun protection, higher thermal mass, day/night ventilation strategies, and finally specific cooling systems by area according to necessity.
With regard to sustainable energy, special attention has also been paid to integrating sustainable use of water and materials.
