This project is “diversified” in a number of respects: diversity of functions (offices and housing), diversity of techniques (renovation and new) and diversity of energy concepts (future savings and limitation of renovation waste).
In renovation of the offices, the approach aims to recover as much as possible of what already exists to drastically limit waste related to the works. In construction of the 12 housing units, the aim was to approach the maximum of the passive standard. Particular attention was given to the insulation and choice of materials (FSC wood, ecological paints), and techniques: rainwater cistern, extensive green roof, photovoltaic and thermal solar panels, natural summer ventilation.
The result measures up to the ambitions: heating consumption is reduced to 26.8 kWh/m2.yr for the offices and 12kWh/m2.yr for the housing.
