Mabru warehouse C
The Mabru project is designed to maximise the synergy between high ecological quality and high energy quality. The ecological quality is found in the sorting and recovery of demolition materials, the treatment of polluted rubble, the choice of materials for new construction, the recovery of rainwater in one 90m3 and two 110m3 cisterns, and the extensive green roof.
The energy quality is found in the optimisation of the insulation and inertia of the areas to be cooled. The warehouse does not need heating; the aim of the insulation is to protect the refrigerators from external heat.
Given their sizable cooling requirement, a super-economical design has been implemented for the technical facilities. In addition, 17% of the electrical requirements for the production of cold will covered by photovoltaic panels.
