A Bruxelles, découvrez:

Rue de la Cible

The project consists of two major parts: the polyclinic and a rest home of 148 individual rooms. The well-insulated building is heated at the rate of 23 kWh/m²/yr (Brussels average: 106).  For the polyclinic, a night cooling system allows a proper temperature to be maintained in the building.
For the rest home, a system of ground-coupled heat exchangers using the ventilated space largely fulfils the need for cooling. To ensure the comfort of the occupants, even in periods of extreme heat – which is necessary given the presence of elderly persons - a “backup” conventional cooling system has been installed.
Thirty-three percent of the domestic hot water (that is, 32,772 kWh/yr) is produced by 67 m2of thermal solar panels. The system provides storage tanks for solar hot water separate from the domestic hot water tanks in order to carry out heat treatment for legionellosis without losing availability of solar hot water storage.
