Rue de l’arbre unique

Intended to house the landscaping department of Evere, as well as the garage for the vehicles and equipment necessary for maintenance of municipal landscaping and green spaces, this new building designed according to passive standards includes a heated passive portion, entirely aboveground and open to the exterior, and a partially subterranean unheated portion.
The insulation materials are Resol, sand-limestone and linoleum. Heating consumption is reduced to 15 kWh/m2.yr. Automated night cooling (with sensors) has been installed.
Domestic hot water is preheated by 20 m2 of thermal solar panels. Given the high water consumption related to the operation, a new 10 m3 rainwater cistern will supplement the existing 20 m3 one. This recovered water is to be used for cleaning and irrigation. A 127 m2 green roof has been installed, and plants cover the concrete base.
