A Bruxelles, découvrez:

Rue de l’avenir

The vacant site on which the project is being erected is located above the Lesser Senne, filled in for sanitary reasons. It provides family housing (3 bedrooms minimum) and an urban vegetable garden, with a garden created in collaboration with the schools and neighbourhood associations.
The shell of the building, particularly well-insulated, and the technical solutions used reduce the heating needs to 14 kWh/m2.yr. The building is equipped with 16 m2 of thermal solar panels.
Water management is rationalised, and a 10 m3 cistern recovers rainwater. The project incorporates an extensive green roof and a vegetable garden located very close to the local market. The objective is to create a meeting space, strengthen the identity of the neighbourhood, and create biodiversity in an urban area. A flowered meadow promoting pollination is being developed around the vegetable garden.
