Rue Delaunoy
For this project to renovate two buildings in the middle of a block, it has been decided that the first will be converted into four passive flats with ground-floor parking, while the second is devoted to very-low-energy housing.
The shell is optimised to achieve 15 kW/m2.yr for the first and 30 kWh/m2.yr for the second, with some façades demolished and rebuilt. The finishing features are ecological: casein paints, whitewash, natural resin, certified local wood window frames, etc. The two buildings have 10 + 7 m2of thermal solar panels for domestic hot water.
Special attention is given to water management; the courtyard is completely permeable and a cistern supplies the toilet flushes of all the residences and waters the garden. A sort of mini-park is created in the middle of the parcel, providing additional comfort for the occupants.
