Rue Leemans
This bel-étage house has undergone energy renovation focussed on the reduction of heating needs, now 27 kWh/m2.yr.In parallel, the front façade has received a new look and a green touch that also helps to limit overheating.
The ground floor has been laid out as a single large space provided with an independent ventilation unit. In places where insulation thickness was not a hindrance, glass wool was chosen. Cellular glass, totally impermeable to water vapour, was used as interior insulation to avoid risks of condensation.
Controlled mechanical ventilation, combined with a heat recovery unit, provide evacuation of excess moisture. The investments made in a gas condensing heater, a solar water heater (4.2m² of collectors) and a photovoltaic installation (15 m² of collectors) complete the picture.
